Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted good secondary school in Denton. This full-time position begins in September and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance.

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Classroom Support: Assisting teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons, providing one-on-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning experience.

  2. Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support: Working closely with the SENCO and other staff to support students with SEN, implementing tailored strategies and interventions to help them achieve their individual goals.

  3. Behavioural Support: Assisting in the implementation of behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour, and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

  4. Personal Development: Encouraging and supporting students' social, emotional, and personal development, helping them build confidence and resilience.

  5. Administrative Tasks: Helping with the preparation of learning materials, maintaining student records, and providing feedback to teachers and senior staff on student progress and areas of need.

  6. Collaboration: Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans for students, ensuring a cohesive approach to student learning and development.
